Thing1
I started participating in 8 things because a comp day requirement but I am seeing that I am learning a few things about technology that I did not know before. I have had blogs before so this is not so new to me but I always like having refreshers just in case there is something newer and better. It does not bother me that everyone can read what I am writing, I think that posting stuff on the Internet has many advantages because then I don't have to repeat myself, all I have to tell people is to go look at my blog. Looking at the examples of blogs for review it has given me ideas for next year. I am thinking that I should start a blog with my classes, this way I don't have to tell students what they missed the day before, also because there are little things that I tell my students (example turn in extra credit passes on this day) but I forget to mention it the next day so there may have been students that missed out, by posting here I would not have that problem happen again. Although, one bad thing that I have seen before with blogs is that some people put too much information about themselves online. I don't want to know every minute of someone's day or what they had to eat, these are some things that drive me away from blogging. All in all I think that if you keep it to the main points blogging will be very useful in the classroom.
